  • Continuous camera scanning with instant verdicts
  • Manual code entry for damaged or printed tickets
  • Undo button for accidental scans

Every device feeds one live picture: how many guests are in, what just happened at each entrance, and which scans need attention — duplicates and invalid tickets are flagged the moment they appear.

  • Checked-in count and progress at a glance
  • Live feed of recent scans from all entrances
  • Duplicate and invalid counters with full context

No signal? Keep scanning

Basements, fields and packed venues kill Wi-Fi — check-in survives it. Devices download the guest list ahead of time, keep validating offline, and sync back the moment the connection returns.

  • Guest manifest downloaded before doors open
  • Scans queue locally and sync automatically
  • Conflicts from parallel entrances are caught and shown

One QR code for the whole order

One shared QR code per order. Scan it, see every seat — and check the whole family in with one tap. Whoever arrives later walks in with their own ticket. Rotating tickets and turnstiles take individual codes only — a shared QR would defeat the anti-sharing protection.

  • One scan lists every ticket in the order
  • Check in everyone at once, or just those present
  • Each ticket keeps working on its own

Admission modes

Re-entry and multi-day passes

In once, or in and out all weekend — every ticket type carries its own admission mode. Nothing scans on the way out: whoever comes back simply shows the ticket again, and the door knows them.

  • Single entry, unlimited re-entry, or one entry per day
  • Set per ticket type, not per event
  • A return reads as a return — never as a duplicate

  • Day visitor Unlimited re-entry

Turnstiles

No staff at the gate? Wire in turnstiles

Exhibition grounds and venues with entry systems plug Bookitive straight into their gates. Every turnstile gets its own credential that can do exactly one thing — validate a ticket and let it through. It honours your admission modes, and for a short while after an admit it refuses the same ticket, so it cannot be passed back over the fence.

  • A credential per gate, revocable one click at a time
  • It can only admit — it cannot read your orders or guest list
  • Anti-passback plus optional pinning to your venue IP ranges

How it works

Doors open in three steps

1

Tickets go out with QR codes

Every sold ticket carries a unique QR code — in the PDF, on the ticket page, or in Apple & Google Wallet.

2

Staff scan with their phones

Give helpers the scanner role, they open check-in on their phones, and the entrance is ready.

3

Watch the door live

Counts, recent scans and warnings update in real time across every entrance and device.

FAQ

Common questions

What organizers ask before their first event night. Missing an answer? Ask us via the demo form.

Do I need special scanning hardware?

No. Any phone or tablet with a camera works — staff open the check-in page, point the camera, and scan. Manual code entry covers damaged prints.

What happens when a ticket is shown twice?

The second scan is flagged immediately as already scanned, including when the first scan happened — the person at the door decides with full context.

What if the venue has no signal?

Devices download the guest manifest in advance, scans keep working locally, and everything syncs automatically once you are back online.

Can helpers scan without seeing anything else?

Yes. Give them the scanner role for a single event — they can check guests in and nothing more.

Can guests leave and come back?

If their ticket allows it, yes. A re-entry ticket type admits the guest as many times as needed, a daily pass once per event day. Nothing to explain at the door — the scan reads as a return, not as an alarm.

Can we plug in our turnstiles?

Yes. The turnstile calls the validation API with its own scanner credential — it opens only for a valid ticket and honours your admission modes. It has one guard staff do not: for a short while after an admit it refuses the same ticket, so it cannot be handed back outside. Anyone genuinely returning sooner goes through a staffed lane. Credentials revoke instantly, so shutting down one gate takes a second.
