Who sold you the ticket
The event organizer — not Bookitive. We provide the technical platform (the seat map, the checkout, the ticket email, the door scanning). Your purchase contract is with the organizer, under their terms of sale, and your money goes to the organizer — by bank transfer directly to their account, or, where card payments are offered, through a licensed payment provider. That means:
- Questions about the event, refunds and cancellations belong to the organizer — their contact is on the event page and in your order emails.
- If the event is cancelled or changed, the refund obligation is the organizer's. The platform gives them tools to process refunds quickly.
- There is no 14-day withdrawal right for event tickets — the statutory exception for leisure services with a fixed date applies (this is stated at checkout before you pay).
What happens with your data
For your order data (name, email, seats, payment status), the organizer is the data controller and Bookitive processes it on their behalf — full detail in our Privacy Policy. Exercise your data rights with the organizer first; we help them respond. You can always also write to privacy@bookitive.com.
What Bookitive does on its own behalf: to protect events from ticket scalpers and fraud, we analyse orders at checkout — IP address, coarse device characteristics and purchase-behavior signals — and compute a risk score. Suspicious orders may require phone verification or wait for the organizer's review; a person, not an algorithm, decides held orders. You have the right to object to this processing at privacy@bookitive.com. This notice is provided under Art. 14 GDPR.
The organizer's own tools: the organizer may transfer your contact details (name, email) into services they use themselves — for example their mailing platform — under their own privacy policy, linked at the checkout. The organizer, as data controller, may send you marketing emails only where they have a lawful basis — typically your consent given via the optional checkbox at checkout. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting the organizer. If you ask for your data to be erased, the organizer is also responsible for erasing it from the services they transferred it to.
Rotating tickets: some events use screenshot-proof tickets bound to your device via an identifier stored in your browser. Transferring such a ticket to someone else is done through the ticket page, per the organizer's transfer policy.
Payments
For bank-transfer payments, the payment details (amount, account, reference, QR code) are in your reservation email, and your payment goes directly to the organizer's bank account. Where card payments are offered, they are processed by a licensed payment provider and settled to the organizer. Bookitive itself never holds your money. Unpaid reservations expire and release the seats — the expiry time is in the email.
Your tickets
Tickets arrive by email after payment. Guard the QR code like cash — anyone who scans it first gets in. If your ticket does not arrive, check spam and then contact the organizer; the ticket page linked in your order email always shows the current state.
